High School Prospects

PTA Weekly is officially underway, and Week 1 brought a strong start from our high school players. Leading the way was Cole Pettijohn (16 Cardinal / East Troy), who reached base in 11 of his 13 plate appearances, including 2 triples, 6 RBIs, and 3 stolen bases. Cooper Hall (16 Cardinal / Cedarburg) also had a productive week, reaching base 9 times in 4 games with 2 extra-base hits, 5 runs scored, and 6 RBIs. Jesse Sobczak (17 Sobczak / Catholic Memorial) opened his season 5-for-7 with 2 RBIs, 4 runs scored, and 5 stolen bases, while Levi Kolb (15 Cardinal / Dominican) went 4-for-8 with a triple, 8 runs scored, and 6 stolen bases. 

On the mound, several arms delivered dominant early outings. Luke Breitzman (15 Thompson / Greendale) was outstanding in his first varsity appearance, throwing 3 innings without allowing a baserunner and striking out 8. Sean Lemke (17 Sobczak / Homestead) tossed 5 innings, allowing just 3 hits and no runs while striking out 7.  Kingston Grisolono (17 Cardinal / Kewaskum) threw 4 innings with 1 hit allowed, 3 walks, and 9 strikeouts, while  Ben Schroder (17 Cardinal / Marquette) went 4 innings with just 1 hit allowed, no runs, and 7 strikeouts. 

Evan Weckman (17 Alivo / St. Thomas More) has been dominant through two outings, totaling 11.1 innings with just 4 hits allowed, 1 run, and 18 strikeouts. Austin Adamczewski (17 Alivo / St. Thomas More) added 5.2 innings with just 1 hit allowed, no runs, and 7 strikeouts. Closing out a strong week on the mound, Luke Drummond (Union Grove / 16 Cardinal) threw 4 innings, allowing just 1 hit and no runs with 4 strikeouts, while Jayden King (Union Grove / 17 Cardinal) delivered 4 hitless innings, allowing no earned runs and striking out 3.

At the plate, Boden McGourthy (17 Cardinal / Marquette) put together a big game, going 4-for-5 with 2 extra-base hits, 4 runs scored, 2 RBIs, and a walk. Ethan Rudolph (17 Alivo / St. Thomas More) has reached base 12 times through 5 games with 3 extra-base hits, 7 RBIs, and 7 stolen bases, while Carson Weist (17 Alivo / St. Thomas More) has totaled 9 hits, 4 extra-base hits, 12 RBIs, and 10 runs scored through 5 games. Michael Petfalski (17 Sobczak / Waukesha South) reached base 8 times in 14 opportunities with 3 extra-base hits, 6 stolen bases, and 5 RBIs. 

Youth Prospects

Week 1 also brought big performances from our youth players, with strong showings at the plate and on the mound across multiple age groups. 

At the plate, George Zvesper (11 Cardinal) went 9-for-15 with 6 extra-base hits, 7 RBIs, 8 runs scored, and 3 stolen bases. Easton Gray (11 Cardinal) hit 10-for-16 with 3 extra-base hits, 4 RBIs, 10 runs scored, and 7 stolen bases. Kovas Baldukas (12 Cardinal) finished 5-for-7 with 2 extra-base hits, 2 RBIs, 3 runs scored, 4 walks, and 4 stolen bases. In the older groups, Jack Wians (14 Cardinal) went 6-for-9 with 3 RBIs, 6 runs scored, and 4 walks, while Brady Remington (14 Cardinal) went 5-for-8 with a triple, 6 RBIs, 4 runs scored, and 4 walks. Beau Schur (14 Cardinal) added an 8-for-14 performance with 3 extra-base hits, 6 RBIs, 8 runs scored, and 2 walks.

On the mound, JD Palmer (11 Cardinal) threw 5.2 innings, allowing 3 hits and 1 run while striking out 7. Tucker Jahns (13 Cardinal) pitched 3.2 innings, allowing 3 hits with no walks or runs, while Carter Mlachnik (13 Cardinal) threw 3 hitless innings, allowing just 1 walk and striking out 6. Roman DeLaurier (14 Cardinal) added 3 scoreless innings with no hits allowed and 5 strikeouts. From 13 South, Louis Kwasny III (13 South) struck out 7 over 3 innings, allowing just 1 hit and no earned runs, while Cayden Mickelson (13 South) went 2-for-3 with 5 RBIs, 2 doubles, and a walk.
