High School Prospects

PTA Weekly continued in Week 2 with another strong showing from our high school players, highlighted by dominant pitching and consistent production at the plate. 

Leading the way this week was Monty O’Brien (Wauwatosa East / Senior), who delivered a dominant outing on the mound with 5 innings pitched, allowing just 1 hit, no runs, and striking out 10. 

On the mound, several arms turned in impressive performances. Jayden King (17 Cardinal / Union Grove) stayed dominant, throwing 4 hitless innings with no runs allowed and 5 strikeouts.  

Colby Kamlay (17 Alivo / Franklin) added 3 scoreless, hitless innings with 6 strikeouts, while Luke Johns (16 White / Catholic Memorial) contributed 1.1 scoreless innings with 2 strikeouts. Mikey Hemme (15 Vollman / Greendale) went 4.1 innings, allowing 3 hits, 1 run, and striking out 3. 

At the plate, Dom Walters (Franklin / Senior) had a huge week, going 5-for-8 with 6 runs scored and 5 RBIs. Jesse Sobczak (17 Sobczak / Catholic Memorial) continued to produce, finishing 3-for-4 with a double, 4 runs scored, 2 walks, and 3 stolen bases. Abram Sulko (Kenosha Tremper / Senior) went 5-for-11 with 3 extra-base hits and an RBI.  

Cullen Roell (17 Cardinal / West Bend West) added a 4-for-8 performance with 4 RBIs and 2 walks. Ben Smet-Cooper (16 Cardinal / Westosha Central) reached base in 5 of his 6 plate appearances, including a home run, 4 RBIs, and 2 runs scored. 

Youth Prospects

Week 2 brought another strong set of performances from our youth players, with standout efforts both at the plate and on the mound across multiple age levels. 

At the plate, Alex Bogenshutz (11 White) had an incredible week, going 7-for-8 with 3 extra-base hits, a home run, 3 RBIs, 6 runs scored, and 6 stolen bases. Cristiano Bando (10 Cardinal) went 7-for-11 with 7 RBIs and 5 runs scored, while Sam Graf (10 Cardinal) added an 8-for-14 performance with 2 extra-base hits and 8 runs. 

Eli Kuhn (13 White) went 7-for-13 with a double, 8 RBIs, and 6 runs scored, and Brayden Blong (13 White) finished 6-for-13 with three doubles, 4 RBIs, and 10 runs scored. JJ Kelley (14 White) contributed a 6-for-10 performance with 2 extra-base hits and 6 RBIs.

On the mound, several players turned indominant outings. Jacob Hefter (13 White) threw a no-hitter over 5 innings, allowing no runs and striking out 7. Ryan Jacobson (AAA Jacobson) added 2 hitless, scoreless innings with 3 strikeouts. Vince Koeppel (13 Cardinal) threw 1.2 hitless innings with 4 strikeouts, while Kam Ruppel (14 Cardinal) went 3 innings, allowing just 1 hit and no runs with 5 strikeouts. Max Clark (14 White) delivered 3 innings with 1 hit allowed, no runs, and 6 strikeouts.

Pro PTA Highlights

It’s exciting to see our Prospects alumni continuing their journeys at the professional level and making an early impact. 

Nate Snead made his professional debut with the Tri-City Dust Devils, the High-A affiliate of the Los Angeles Angels, and has already recorded 10 strikeouts across his first two appearances, covering 7.2 innings. 

Jacob Hartlaub returned to the Charleston RiverDogs, the Single-A affiliate of the Tampa Bay Rays, and made his season debut while earning his first professional save.
