High School Prospects

Week 3 of PTA Weekly brought another loaded set of performances from our high school players, highlighted by big offensive numbers and dominant outings on the mound. 

At the plate, Dom Walters (Franklin / Senior) led the way with an incredible week, going 9-for-13 with 12 RBIs and 6 extra-base hits. Mason Hahn (17 Sobczak / Sussex) stayed hot, going 11-for-22 with 9 RBIs, 7 runs scored, and 4 extra-base hits, while Luke Mrazek (17 Alivo / St. Thomas More) added an 8-for-13 performance with 3 extra-base hits and 7 RBIs. Mikey Petfalski (17 Sobczak / Waukesha South) had a huge showing, going 5-for-6 with two doubles, a home run, 4 RBIs, 4 runs scored, and 6 stolen bases. 

Several others made strong contributions at the plate as well. Owen McLellan (Shorewood / Senior) totaled 5 hits with 5 RBIs and 4 runs scored, while Bryce Plennes (17 Cardinal / South Milwaukee) recorded 6 hits, 7 RBIs, and 7 runs scored over three games. Ryan Rose (17 Cardinal / West Bend West) went 5-for-8 with 3 extra-base hits and 4 RBIs, and Jesse Sobczak (17 Sobczak / Catholic Memorial) continued his strong season, going 7-for-13 with 2 extra-base hits, 4 RBIs, 7 runs scored, 4 walks, and 2 stolen bases. Cooper Hall (16 Cardinal / Cedarburg) reached base 7 times with 3 RBIs and 2 runs scored, while Olli Corry (17 Sobczak / Arrowhead) went 2-for-4 with a walk, stolen base, run scored, and 3 RBIs. 

On the mound, the pitching performances were just as impressive. Damian Kosempa (Marquette / Senior) delivered a dominant outing, throwing 6 hitless innings with no earned runs and 15 strikeouts. Nathan Margoni (15 Cardinal / St. Thomas More) contributed both ways, going 8-for-14 at the plate with a double and 6 RBIs while also throwing 4 hitless, scoreless innings with 4 strikeouts.
Monty O’Brien (Wauwatosa East / Senior) continued his strong stretch, throwing 5 innings with just 1 hit allowed, no earned runs, and 10 strikeouts. Ben Schroeder (17 Cardinal / Marquette) added 5 innings, allowing just 2 hits and no runs, while Jai Kaleka (17 White / Shorewood) threw 4 innings, allowing 1 hit and no runs with 2 strikeouts. 

Youth Prospects

Week 3 also brought another impressive set of performances from our youth players, with
strong production at the plate and dominant outings on the mound across
multiple age groups. 

At the plate, Gianni Cataldo (12 Cardinal) had a standout all-around week, going 9-for-13 with 4 extra-base hits, 10 RBIs, 8 runs scored, and 6 stolen bases. Austin Murphy (11 Cardinal) delivered a big performance, going 4-for-5 with two doubles, a home run, and 5 RBIs, while Oscar Cataldo (10 Cardinal) was perfect at the plate, going 5-for-5 with a double, triple, 3 RBIs, and 7 stolen bases. Will Schmitz (14 McIntyre) added a strong 7-for-13 week with 3 extra-base hits, 8 RBIs, and 7 runs scored. 

Several others contributed big offensive weeks as well. Caleb McDonough (12 White) went 8-for-13 with a double, home run, 4 RBIs, and 6 runs scored, while Landon Belcher (10 Cardinal) finished 3-for-5 with two doubles, 3 RBIs, and 4 stolen bases. Michael Harmon (14 South) went a perfect 4-for-4 with 2 RBIs and 4 runs scored, and Alex Bogenshutz (11 White) added a 5-for-5 performance with a double and 5 runs. Rohan Kaleka (13 Cardinal) also stayed efficient at the plate, going 3-for-3 with two doubles, 2 RBIs, and a run scored. 

On the mound, strong performances continued. Gianni Cataldo (12 Cardinal) added to his standout week by throwing 6 innings, allowing just 2 hits and 1 run while striking out 12. Trevor Kucharski (13 South) delivered 5 innings, allowing just 1 hit and no runs with 5 strikeouts, while Louis Kwasny II (13 South) added 5 innings with 3 hits allowed, no runs, and 4 strikeouts. 

Our Prospects alumni continue to make an impact at the professional level, building on their success beyond college. 

Nate Snead (Tri-City Dust Devils) turned in a strong outing, throwing 4.1 innings with 4 hits allowed, 1 run, and 5 strikeouts. Jacob Hartlaub (Charleston RiverDogs) added 3 scoreless innings, allowing just 2 hits while striking out 2 and earning a save.
