High School Prospects

Week 6 of PTA Weekly brought another strong week from our high school players, highlighted by big offensive performances and dominant pitching outings. 

Leading the way this week was Brayden Alivo (St. Thomas More / Senior), who put together an impressive week at the plate, going 11-for-18 with a double, triple, and home run. 

Several hitters continued to produce offensively. Dom Walters (Franklin / Senior) went 6-for-13 with two doubles, a triple, a home run, and 5 RBIs, while Luke Mrazek (17 Alivo / St. Thomas More) added a 6-for-14 performance with three doubles and a triple. Cooper Hall (16 Cardinal / Cedarburg) contributed both at the plate and on the mound, going 7-for-16 with a double, triple, and 5 RBIs while also throwing 9 innings with 12 strikeouts and just 2 runs allowed.

John Arnold (Sussex / Senior) added a 4-for-8 week, and Mason Hahn (17 Sobczak / Sussex) went 3-for-7. 

On the mound, several players turned in dominant performances. Ethan Rudolph (17 Alivo / St. Thomas More) threw 7 innings, allowing just 2 hits and 1 run while striking out 12. Damian Kosempa (Marquette / Senior) added 6 innings with 4 hits allowed, no earned runs, and 9 strikeouts, while Ben Schroeder (17 Cardinal / Marquette) threw a complete 7 innings, allowing just 2 hits, 1 run, and striking out 5. Carter Unger (16 Cardinal / Kewaskum) also contributed a strong outing with 2 hitless innings and 4 strikeouts. 

Youth Prospects

At the plate, Gianni Cataldo (12 Cardinal) delivered one of the biggest performances of the week, going 4-for-6 with 4 home runs. Cal Lehnen (13 Cardinal) stayed hot as well, finishing 9-for-11 with four doubles and a home run. Matthew Taft (14 White) added major power numbers, going 6-for-8 with a double and 3 home runs, while Austin Murphy (11 Cardinal) went 8-for-13 with three doubles and a home run. JD Palmer (11 Cardinal) contributed a huge week at the plate, going 6-for-12 with three doubles and 2 home runs. 

Several others added strong offensive performances. Joey Saia (14 AAA Cartagena) went 9-for-14 with 4 extra-base hits and 4 RBIs, while Maxwell Andresen (13 White) finished 8-for-16 with 3 extra-base hits. 

On the mound, Beau Schur (14 Cardinal) turned in a dominant outing, throwing 4 no-hit innings while striking out 9. Will Schmitz (14 McIntyre) added 4 scoreless innings with 5 strikeouts while allowing just 3 hits. 

Our Prospects alumni continue to make an impact beyond the college level. 

Nate Snead (Tri-City Dust Devils) turned in another strong outing, throwing 6 innings with 8 hits allowed, 1 run, and 6 strikeouts. 

At the collegiate level, Kyle Alivo (Iowa) earned recognition by being named to the B1G All-Freshman Team.
